Job Searching.. Fun, right! Maybe not! but something important to highlight; It is Your Journey, Your Energy, Your Truth. If you absorb every narrative available right now for job searching you will be creating 25 different versions of yourself to fit the utopia of the perfect candidate. Instead, take a breath and ask yourself exactly what you want based on your own beautiful blueprint as a human. Take back the reins on your search.
Job searching is a very individual experience. There is no formula, no magic bullet and no single path that guarantees success. What works for one person may not work for another, because every human, every role, every CV and every conversation is different. That difference is not a disadvantage, it’s your power.
It’s not just your experience, your CV or your LinkedIn profile that matters. It’s the energy you bring to the process, how you show up and what you believe is possible for you. Ask yourself honestly; Do I believe I can step into the role I want? Self-doubt, hesitation and lack of belief don’t stay internal. They shape how you speak, how you connect, how you present and that energy is always felt. In my coaching, I work with the whole human (mind, body, energy and alignment), and the energy you vibrate out is far more important than most people realise.
Your authenticity is your greatest asset. No one else can bring your presence, your perspective, your story. Trying to copy someone else’s approach or follow rigid advice about who you “should” be only pulls you further away from the opportunities that are truly aligned with the essence of you.
It’s important to mention that not everyone has the luxury of complete choice. Redundancy, financial pressure, life circumstances mean that sometimes a role is about stability, safety, or getting back on your feet. That doesn’t make you misaligned or less self-aware. It makes you human. Even in those moments, staying connected to yourself, your values, your energy and your needs can make all the difference in how you show up, how you experience the role you step into and future roles.
The right role will do more than make sense on paper, it feels like a yes in your body, a real sense of alignment, expansion and ease, even in your nervous system.
Before you apply, perhaps pause and reflect:
- What draws me to this role?
- How does my body respond as I read the description?
- What feels aligned with what I truly need right now?
Turn down the noise. There is no timeline you need to match. It might take two interviews, it might take seven, depending on the role. That says nothing about your worth and there is no right or wrong formula. Search for the role your body says yes to, not the one your ego, fear or conditioning says you should want. Take one intentional step each day towards it and trust the process, trust yourself.
The right role will meet you in alignment, when you show up as glorious you!
